Turin Brakes return to Inverness

Turin Brakes are returning to the Ironworks in Inverness in October. The band played there in 2009 on their Highlands tour, and it looks like the band will make the drive (flight?) north again on the 20th October 2012. Ticketmaster has added a listing for the band here. The gig is one week after the planned gig at Eric’s, Liverpool, so perhaps this is the early beginnings of a tour? It may also be the regular “some gigs for the weekend”-schedule that the band is living by this and next month.

Support for the Inverness gig comes from + Iain McLaughlin & The Outsiders. As the Ironworks website reports:

Following the release of the album Outbursts and last autumn’s sell out Optimist LP anniversary tour, Turin Brakes embark on a few special one-off shows and festival appearances in the run up to recording their new album.

The Turin Brakes duo of Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian along with long time band members Rob Allum (drums), and Eddie Myer (bass) will be playing a full band set of all the favourite tunes from their 10 year career and maybe one or two new tunes too..

Tickets are 16 GBP. Let’s hope for those new tunes eh ;).
