Lisa Mitchell talks Turin Brakes

Lisa Mitchell was on the Dermot O’Leary show on BBC Radio 2 yesterday for a session and an interview, but it looks like we won’t be seeing her work with TB soon. Here’s the transcript:

Dermot: And finding your way, that’s involved working with Turin Brakes and Ed Harcourt, is that right?
Lisa: Yeah.
Dermot: They’re great guys, aren’t they!?
Lisa: They’re amazing. Yeah.
Dermot: We met Ed a couple of times (….) but Turin Brakes we love.
Lisa: Yea.
Dermot: Have they been writing with you?
Lisa: Well I haven’t actually seen them for a little while.. I… I must catch up with them, but no we were kind of writing some little diddies a little while ago, probably like last year actually.

Not exactly solid proof that those ‘diddies’ appear on her album (Wonder) – which is out tomorrow. In fact, she sounded a bit like she forgot what happened to those songs. Listen back here (2 hours and almost 24 minutes in), but we’ll see once it’s out tomorrow. If anyone is passing by a record store in the uk, please check the song credits in the album booklet and please report back.

UPDATE 13 July 2009 22:44 (GMT+2): I received confirmation from Lisa’s press contact that in fact no songs written by Turin Brakes and Lisa Mitchell were used for the album.
