Elbow won the Mercury Music Prize for their 2008 album The Seldom Seen Kid. Their music is a bit more layered than Turin Brakes, benefitting from the 5-piece line up of the band. But the words of love and melancholy should appeal to any Turin Brakes fan who takes the time to listen to it.

I Am Kloot are from Manchester, just like Elbow, and also make the acoustic guitar driven music Turin Brakes make. It’s probably a bit more bleak and/or darker, but that’s the beauty of it as well.
