Absolute Radio session + playlist

The Sea Change has been added to the playlist of Absolute Radio. That is a good sign. So let’s hope more playlists will add it during this and next week, so it will be on heavy rotation when the release is upon us.

In even nicer news, the band will (once again) join Geoff Lloyd on his Absolute Radio show on 22 February 2009 for a live session (that’s another guaranteed play for the The Sea Change, then!). Once again, let’s hope it’s the first of many.

‘The Sea Change’ Record of the Week (part 2)

Last week, Shaun Keaveney chose The Sea Change as the record of the week. This week Geoff Lloyd on Absolute Radio has chosen the song as his favourite new song. Now, if we can keep this up and get the song to be record of the week somewhere every week, that should mean some nice airplay…

On a side note, label mate Tom McRae reminiscens the time he was single of the week:

Vote for Turin Brakes

The UK radio station Absolute Radio are choosing the song of the decade. Turin Brakes are nominated with 10 different tracks (all singles). So please do your bit and vote for our favourite band.

The top 100 will be played on the Christian O’Connell breakfast show on 11th December and voting closes on 30th November. All other info can be found here.
