The wonderful Kate Walsh, who released my personal album of the year Light & Dark last year, is supporting Turin Brakes on the German dates of the EU Tour. No word yet on other support act / dates. Wait and see, eh…

Dutch leg of tour announced + first 2010 festival appearance

Some Dutch dates have been posted here the last few days and I guess these may have been confusing to some, including yours truly. However, the Dutch promoter has posted the gigs on his website now (including the now cancelled Rotown, which I’m for now going to presume as the ONLY cancelled one). Here’s the list according to the booking agent. It also features the first Dutch festival appearance since 2003.

FESTIVALS:
04.07.10 Wish Outdoor

The festival WiSH Outdoor is a two-day-event with one day of electronic music and one day of pop / alternative music. The festival is connected to the Dutch Make A Wish Foundation.

Tickets for Nijmegen and The Hague are on sale, but Amersfoort and Amsterdam aren’t yet listed on the venue website. Presuming none of these are cancelled, the full EU tour so far now looks like THIS:

Italian leg of EU tour announced

Troublezine.it announced the Italian leg of the Turin Brakes EU tour. The band (and a support act) will stop at Rome, Milan and (slightly to the south of) in Ravenna. That makes the full EU tour list so far:

Hamburg/Rotterdam update – The Hague gig added

TB just tweeted that the Hamburg gig is happening on the 12th. That makes it impossible for the Rotterdam gig to be still happening. However, Dutch people do not have to despair, because besides the Nijmegen gig on the 18th, there’s a gig in The Hague in Paard van Troje on the 17th, according to Ticketmaster.

5 concerts in Germany, 2 in The Netherlands (except…)

Wizard Promotions has announced 5 Turin Brakes gigs in Germany and Rotown e-mailed me to say that besides in Doornroosje, Turin Brakes will also be playing the Rotown venue in Rotterdam. However, the Rotown date and the Hamburg date are the same (12 April). Since Rotown actually took the time to email me about it, I’m going to assume that that one is actually still happening and that the other date is in fact a typo (and will be on, for example the 13th), since it is not announced on the venue site yet.

Turin Brakes travel up North and to Germany

People of Inverness rejoice! Turin Brakes will be playing your Ironworks on October 3rd. Tickets and all here. Also, German tour dates in October. However, tickets for these dates aren’t on sale yet (nor are these dates actually confirmed, as of today):

24.10. – München, 59.1
25.10. – Berlin, Magnet
26.10. – Frankfurt, Brotfabrik
28.10. – Köln, Luxor

UPDATE: it looks like these German dates are NOT happening. More later.

The big question now is, will the gap between those dates be filled with more dates or will we have to wait till next year? Stay tuned!
