In The Tweether, In The Tweether’s Air

From today, Ether Site is on Twitter like all the cool tweeps on this planet! (including Turin Brakes)

Over the past few months, I tweeted new posts on my personal tweet account (@ditisstefan) and fear not, I will continue doing this – probably until Twitter dies of old age. But if you ever thought: “I hate those Dutch tweets.” or: “Why is he talking nonsense again?” you can now follow @ethersite.

To be clear: my own personal tweets will still be TB-related (when I’ve got something TB-related to say). Some of these things will also make it to the Ether Site twitter page.

So why an extra Twitter account? Well, for example, now you can @reply to a post (like this one), by replying to the relevant tweet on Twitter. If you do it right and the magical elves do their job too, it will automatically show up on Ether Site as well!

Isn’t that awesome? I know!

I haven’t tested it though, so it might not work (and it will only work from THIS post on – not old ones). Time will tell. You could give it a go… But you don’t have to. I mean. I won’t hate you for it… Not yet anyway.

Scotland Twitter Updates

No storm to big for the band that Never Stops (geddit? Never Stops? That’s a new song!). These past days Olly and Gale played three dates in the very north of the United Kingdom. Today Turin Brakes rounds up their short notice Highlands duo Tour with a gig in Aberdeen. Now here’s some tweets by the band on the trip to the North.

Turinbrakes.com is down due to technical error, a man called Yohan will fix the trouble at a data centre somewhere in Germany on monday alternatively please use http://www.turinbrakes.nl/n… for updates so fast it puts even the band to shame (according to Twitter).

Henri Gaobi collaboration, more twitter (yes)

Olly has posted a picture on Twitter of Gale and Henri Gaobi, a famous African drummer and leader of musical collective KAAGO, working together at the TB Inc. It has yet to be announced what this project entails (this ‘future sonic holiday’), but trivia freaks (like me) may be interested to know that Gaobi is featured on Turin Brakes’ Late Night Tales compilation in 2004. He’s featured on Track 3 by Les Barons, called Lagos Soundsystem.

Also, technical problems seem to have been resolved now and O&G are back tweeting at the original account.

Mind over Twitter

Turin Brakes are having technical problems with their Twitter account. Apparently they were locked out. So now they made a new account, called Mind Over Money. Hopefully this will work longer than the other one.

Turin Brakes joined social revolution thing Twitter this evening. Hurrah! Seems like Olly is the one twittering so far. You can visit the profile here and start following them!

Ether Site is not available on Twitter, though new blog posts get mentioned on my own personal Twitter thing. If you wish to keep up with news messages here, I recommend the rss-feed.
