The BBC Berkshire website interviewed Noisettes drummer Jamie Morrison at the reading festival today. He mentions going on tour with Fionn Regan in late October and early November. He also mentions Little Phil will be playing piano on this tour:
And I’m just about to go on tour with Fionn Regan in October, he’s just got his Mercury nomination. We’ve got Drew from Babyshambles on bass and the piano player from Turin Brakes on piano. We’ve got a lap steel player, it’s going to be wonderful.
The UK tour (+ one date in Ireland) stops at the following places:
22 Oct | Social Nottingham
23 Oct | Little Civic Wolverhampton
24 Oct | Komedia Brighton
26 Oct | Cockpit Leeds
27 Oct | Night and Day Manchester
28 Oct | King Tuts Glasgow
30 Oct | Plug Sheffield
31 Oct | Kings College London
1 Nov | Fleece Bristol
3 Nov | Vicar Street Dublin (Ireland)
Fionn Regan is probably the most talented singer/songwriter of this time, so go and see him. He has supported Turin Brakes on several occasions in the past.
We’ve toured with Fionn and fallen deeply in love with his luminous songs of memory, loss and hope. His ability to paint weighty and sublime imagery with words is untouchable and very rare, yet it’s combined with a sweet charm that renders all cynicism impotent. All I can do when he sings is to shut up and keep breathing. – Olly Knights
