If not for the recent downtime, I could have posted this last minute news that Turin Brakes are playing an acoustic set at Apollo video store in London to mark the end of their Live at the Apollo campaign to save the store. The news was leaked via Twitter by both the band and The Apollo. Unfortunately, you’re probably too late to get there now. If you were there, we’d love to hear from you!
Update (6pm UK time): the boys played ‘the classics’, as well as new song Never Stops and a Neil Young cover. Also, it’s unlikely there are more new dates between now and Drury Lane (apart from Latitude).
Twas a lovely gig, short and sweet, a nice crowd, little kiddies running around and having pillow fights… a good day out all round! You already posted that the boys played ‘Never Stops’ which i loved, a Neil Young track and some ‘classics’ including: The Door, Stone Thrown, Fishing for a Dream, Painkiller, Underdog (Save Me).
It had beena while since i’d seen the boys play so for me it was a brilliant mini gig.. and having the chance to say hi to Olly was pretty cool
Over and Out, Ev xx
Thanks for that Ev :-). Sounds like a special set! Glad you got to say Hi! 🙂
Hey, that’s ptretty much my text to you, I’m in print 😛 😀 Am so sad I didn’t get to record the whole of the Neil Young, it was SO good 🙁 Will upload in next day or so.x
Looking forward to the video Shazia, even if it’s incomplete. Anything is good ;-).
