Charity single release ‘Chim Chim Cher-ee’ for Shelter

Turin Brakes have released one of the covers from their Xerox EP as a charity single. Chim Chim Cher-ee, which has been played on BBC Radio 2 and played live at The Optimist live tour (here’s a video I taped in Edinburgh on Monday night).

Philip Bloom made a moving video showing the povery that some people have to endure. Like the TB version of Chim Chim Cher-ee it’s both dark yet beautiful: these people seem strong in their own way.

Following the positive reception of the video, the band decided to release the single on iTunes. The proceedings of the iTunes sales will be donated to the shelters Philip Bloom approached to make his video and SHELTER UK.
