Well, folks, if you want to have any sort of surprise when We Were Here lands on your doorstep, you may want to stop listening to all the previews going round. By now we have heard album tracks for most songs apart from Stop The World (although this was partly featured in the second preview video), Part of The World, Erase Everything and Goodbye. This one, Inbetween, is a really good one though. So maybe one more? Just one? Then I’ll stop! Honest!
“‘Inbetween’ was born out of a jam,” Knight tells American Songwriter. “We were enjoying sounding like Crazy Horse on holiday and thought we’d better get some words together. Lyrically it’s got nothing to hide – essentially life is a solemn journey from the forceps to the stone, as Joni Mitchell sang, but in between all that darkness we get to have sisters and brothers and we can face the music together in chorus.”
