In a message sent to the subscribers of the official mailinglist, Turin Brakes have thanked their fans for the response to We Were Here, the UK tour and the US dates. They also took the time to premier the new video for Guess You Heard, shot in sunny Los Angeles with the band cruising Venice Beach. The video is fun, sunny and a bit tongue-in-cheek I dare say, with Olly cruising out of the frame when the chorus backing vocals kick in and other little touches. Pretty perfect then!
Please share it with your friends :).

Now that we’re well into the new year, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our amazing fans who bought the new album and came out to support us on the We Were Here 2013 tour. 2014 has been a very busy year so far and we have some quick updates to share with you. A short trip to the U.S. last month saw gigs in New York City, Austin, Texas (where we played a showcase at the prestigious SXSW and participated in a song-writing experiment), and Los Angeles, California. Thank you to all our loyal U.S. fans for the warm welcome. We expected great things in L.A. after the earth shook from a magnitude 4.4 earthquake the morning of our gig at the legendary Troubadour in West Hollywood (photo gallery). And the next day, undeterred by the tremor, we shot the video footage for “Guess You Heard” – the second single from We Were Here.
New gigs announced this spring and summer include a date at Southbank Centre (Queen Elizabeth Hall) in London and a few shows in Ireland in mid-May (Cork, Dublin, and Dundalk). Dates, venues, times, and ticket links are posted in the live section of our website, and please check back regularly because we have been adding gigs on a daily basis. Dates and links below:
