Turin Brakes have postponed the final three dates of their acoustic tour. The 6 month tour was supposed to be coming to an end this weekend, but the final three dates are now happening in October. The band explained on social media that it’s probably best for everyone’s health and safety in this Covid19-state we’re living in.
Due to the Covid-19 situation our shows this weekend in Chester, Lincoln & Gloucester have been postponed until October. All tickets remain valid for the new dates. Shame we couldn’t finish the tour but a massive thank you to everyone who came to see us over the last few months. It’s been incredible. Stay safe xxxx
Rescheduled dates – October 2020
13 Oct – CHESTER Live Rooms
14 Oct – LINCOLN Engine Shed
15 Oct – GLOUCESTER Guildhall
As more and more countries have banned big events and are closing bars, restaurants and venues, the United Kingdom government still hasn’t, so it has come to the band to make their own decision right now. Many medical experts and scientists would argue that’s for the best.
Let’s hope that come October things will be normal enough so that the shows can take place. It will be a very rocky few months for the music industry, with festival organisers anxiously looking at all developments right now. Turin Brakes have one festival date lined up in August at Cropredy Festival, although we’ll have to see how things play out until then.
Perhaps the boys can get some writing done, provided they and their loved ones remain in good health, which we all hope.
