Turin Brakes were scheduled to play Fairport Convention’s Cropredy Festival last year. When that was postponed a special single was released and everyone was hoping 2021’s edition would go ahead. Sadly, this week we found out that this year’s edition was not meant to be, due to a lack of government support.
Besides Turin Brakes there were many great acts scheduled to play Trevor Horn Band, Clannad, Steve Hackett’s Genesis Revisited, Richard Thompson, and. of course, Fairport Convention. Hopefully all these act will be able to attend next year’s edition. Next year’s rescheduled event will take place from August 11-13 at its usual site near a place called Banbury.
In better news, the band have added a date to the final dates of the twice (thrice?) postponed Acoustic Tour. The show will take place at the Picturedrome in Holmfirth on Friday 03 December. Tickets are on sale here. Kevin Pearce (Sun Cutter) will support.
