Turin Brakes announce reissue for iconic second album ‘Ether Song’

Turin Brakes’ second album Ether Song is being reissued on physical formats for the first time since 2003. The album, which charted at no. 4 in the UK album charts, is getting the reissue treatment as the 20th anniversary tour is underway in the UK. The band is releasing the album on limited blue vinyl on 24 November 2023. It contains the original 1CD / 2LP tracklist, including the hidden track Ether Song.

The reissue celebrates the album that propelled Turin Brakes to bigger venues and took them to Los Angeles to record with Tony Hoffer. While the original album did get a vinyl release back in 2003, those copies are now hard to find even in the 2nd hand market, so it’s nice fans have a chance to get a brand new copy. The 2LP is released on the PIAS label (which is part of Universal, that owns the rights of the first four studio albums).

You can pre-order the album at the PIAS store here. The band will continue to tour Ether Song live in November and December, with sold-out shows in Leeds, Glasgow, Bristol and London. For the shows in Portsmouth, Manchester and Birmingham there are still some tickets left.
