Ripchord

First song of Olly’s first solo album, If Not Now When. Released in 2012 on The Complete Atomic, TB’s own label.

Over and out
This is my final message
I cannot shout above
A billion screaming voices

Under the ocean we live our lives

As I sever the line
Woe betide
The ones who
Choose to hide
I heard the starting gun
Lost my taste for the race
Before I won

Under the oceans, in the wires, in the cables
We love, we hate, we live our lives

Under the oceans, in the wires, in the cables
We love, we hate, we live our lives

I buckle my seatbelt,
I pull the ripchord and I’m out

I buckle my seatbelt,
I pull the ripchord and I’m out

I absolutely love this song. Haven’t played it for ages but it’s become one of my songs of the lockdown. Play it most days when I’m out walking or on my bike – the miles fly by listening to this album. Would just love to be in a small room listening to these songs played live. Unlikely to happen but it’s a lovely thought.
